On behalf of Parrots magazine, and our sponsor Northern Parrots, I am inviting you to THINK PARROT 2013 - our second show! We were delighted with the success of THINK PARROTS 2012 and this year’s show promises to be bigger and better! The aim of the show is to bring together the widest range of parrot enthusiasts including pet owners, hobby breeders, conservationists, avian vets, bird rescue organisations, eco-tourism organisers and many top parrot experts from the UK and around the world.
Pre-book our FREE Workshops with top experts
THINK PARROTS has already set a standard, in promoting responsibility and education within the parrot world, ensuring our birds enjoy the highest possible level of care. This year we are staging four more FREE workshops throughout the day, with EB Cravens, Brian Stockdale MRCVS, David Woolcock, Alan Jones MRCVS, Michael Simmons and Rosemary Low all taking an active part. Avian artist Eric Peake will once again be acting as MC.
This major event attracted significant interest last year and is attracting even greater interest this year! We are already experiencing a strong demand for advanced tickets which also provides free entry and the chance to pre-book your place in as many of our workshops as you would like. The workshops last year were full to capacity, with 280 people attending each one. So if you want to take this unique opportunity to listen to all these experts under one roof it is recommended that you pre-book your place.
DIY Enrichment Toy Competition:
This year we are also running a DIY enrichment toy competition where we are inviting visitors to the show to bring with them their toys they have made at home for their parrots. All toys should be made out of parrot-safe ‘throwaways,’ cheaply bought components and/or natural woods, bark etc. We have four amazing prizes offered by Northern Parrots, Touchwood and Parrot Enrichment in the US, for the best four. Judging and prize-giving will take place on the day. Please see magazine and the competition page on this website for more details.
Exhibition Hall full of trade exhibitors
We are delighted Northern Parrots is again sponsoring the show and they will have a significant presence in the main exhibition hall, offering an even more comprehensive range of products this year. There will also be many other familiar, and not so familiar, trade exhibitors in attendance, offering advice and selling a huge range of goods and services.
The show offers a great day out where you can meet up with like-minded people, speak and listen to experts, buy everything possible for your parrots and if you haven’t already, take out a subscription, renew your subscription or buy back copies of Parrots magazine!
